DPL Joins IEEE CIS Industry–Academia Meetup 2026 to Shape the Future of AI-Ready Talent

On September 19, 2026, DPL participated in the IEEE CIS Industry–Academia Meetup 2026, held at Ramada Islamabad under the theme “Preparing Graduates for an AI World: A Joint Industry–Academia Meetup.”

The event brought together industry professionals, academic leaders, faculty members, and technology experts to discuss how educational institutions and businesses can collaborate to equip the next generation with the skills needed to navigate an increasingly AI-driven world.

Representing DPL, Chief Transformation Officer Nauman Faridi contributed an industry perspective to discussions on the evolving expectations of technology employers and the changing nature of software engineering.

The conversation explored the skills and learning outcomes graduates need, curriculum redesign, AI-assisted coding and learning, practical industry exposure, internships, Final Year Projects, and continuous faculty development.
