EmpowerHER Organizes #IAmRemarkable Workshop at Rebels HQ

Last week, EmpowerHER organized an inspiring #IAmRemarkable workshop, reinforcing its commitment to fostering inclusivity and confidence among women in the workplace.
A global initiative by Google, #IAmRemarkable aims to help women and underrepresented groups gain confidence to promote themselves and their achievements. The workshops conducted combine discussions, exercises, and reflection activities to encourage participants to:
- Overcome social norms that discourage people from openly talking about their accomplishments
- Recognize their own personal and professional achievements
- Practice self-promotion skills in a supportive environment
- Build confidence in describing their value at work and communities
Since the initiative’s launch, #IAmRemarkable workshops have been conducted in over 150 countries. In addition to supporting individuals achieve and articulate their brilliance, it promotes the creation of organizational cultures that value equity and recognition.
“Workshops like #IAmRemarkable are vital to our culture at DPL,” said DPL’s COO Waleed Baqir Riaz. “They not only empower individuals to recognize their strengths, but also strengthen our collective commitment to inclusivity, innovation, and building a workplace where every voice matters.”
Facilitated by EmpowerHER member Samiya, the session explored the cultural and social norms around self-promotion. Female Rebels attending on-site and online had the opportunity to reflect on their achievements, practice articulating their strengths, and learn how to ensure professional visibility.

“This initiative is about more than recognition,” explained Samiya “It’s about creating a culture where women feel empowered to own their success without hesitation. I hope everyone who joined today masters the much-needed skill of celebrating their achievements and gain the confidence they need for both personal growth and organizational impact.”
The workshop’s interactive format encouraged candid conversations, with participants sharing personal milestones and strategies for overcoming self-doubt. Attendees praised the session as both eye-opening and practical, noting it provided a safe space to embrace authenticity and ambition.
Next, EmpowerHER is finalizing its plans for PINKtober, with a series of awareness and engagement activities aimed at promoting women’s health and well-being. The group intends to combine education and advocacy in an upcoming event to highlight the importance of early detection and support for those affected by breast cancer.
