EmpowerHER and Alnair Promote PINKtober Awareness at Rebels’ HQ

On October 20th, 2025, EmpowerHER, under the Alnair Health Program, marked PINKtober with a heartfelt campaign dedicated to breast cancer awareness, bringing together compassion, learning, and community spirit in a truly inspiring way.

“PINKtober awareness is not just a women’s cause; it’s a human cause,” commented EmpowerHER member Samiya. “Breast cancer awareness matters for everyone, because early detection and education can save lives regardless of gender. By understanding the risks, supporting our loved ones, and encouraging regular checkups, both men and women can play an active role in fostering a culture of health, empathy, and prevention.”

This year’s campaign marked the second consecutive year that EmpowerHER has organized a PINKtober initiative, a testament to the organization’s ongoing commitment to promoting women’s health and cancer awareness. Building on the success and heartfelt participation from last year’s event, this year’s campaign grew stronger in impact.

The day began on a sweet note with a Bake Sale, where employees baked and shared treats in support of this vital cause. The initiative raised over Rs. 30,000, all of which has been donated to Shaukat Khanum Cancer Programs to assist patients and contribute toward their treatment.

The highlight of the campaign was two insightful awareness sessions, led by Dr. Mahnoor from Shaukat Khanum Hospital and Dr. Uzma Qasim, a seasoned oncologist at Shifa Hospital with over a decade of experience in cancer care.

Their sessions delved into early detection, the importance of regular screenings, and breaking the stigma surrounding open conversations about breast health. The engaging discussions sparked curiosity and encouraged employees to take proactive steps toward personal and family wellness.

Reinforcing its commitment to health and well-being, Alnair rolled out an exclusive 50% discount voucher for mammogram screenings. DPL’s medical initiative further offers a Vitamin D test and 25% off on all other lab tests.

“PINKtober reminds us that awareness has the power to save lives,” commented Syed Ahmad, DPL’s CEO and Co-Founder. “At DPL, we believe health and compassion go hand in hand, and that responsibility belongs to all of us, men and women alike. Through initiatives like this, we hope to inspire our community to prioritize early detection, support one another, and continue building a culture where care and awareness thrive.”

EmpowerHer extends heartfelt gratitude to all the Rebels who baked, donated, and participated in its PINKtober awareness session. Their generosity and enthusiasm turned awareness into action, proving that we create lasting impact when we care collectively.
